Therapy for real life means being part of real life
held is not just a therapy centre. It is part of the fabric of Haywards Heath. We believe that good mental health does not happen in isolation, it happens in the context of a community where people feel connected, supported, and seen.
That is why we work alongside other local organisations, businesses, and people who share our belief that looking after yourself and looking after each other are part of the same thing.
People we are proud to work alongside
The organisations and businesses below share something with held. A commitment to the people of Haywards Heath and Mid Sussex. A belief that community matters. A willingness to show up for the people around them.
We actively support one another because we know that nobody does their best work alone, whether you are a therapist, a cafe owner, or anyone else trying to make this corner of West Sussex a better place to live.
Tori's cafe in the park, baby and parent morning sessions and local business networking breakfast.
Therapy that is open to everyone
We know that private therapy is not accessible to everyone. That is why we are proud to be home to The Welcome Room, an independent affordable counselling service offering face-to-face sessions from £30, based here at 7 Hazelgrove Road.
If cost is a barrier, The Welcome Room may be the right starting point. Everything you need is on their website.
For therapists: held connection
If you are a therapist working in Mid Sussex, held connection is a low-key space to meet other practitioners, share experiences, and remember that you are not alone in this work. No agenda, no sales pitches. Just good conversation and somewhere to belong.
Want to be part of this?
If you run a local organisation, business, or community project and you think there might be a connection worth making, we would love to hear from you. We are always looking for like-minded people who share our values.
