  • Fees vary by therapist and session type. As a guide:

    • Individual therapy sessions: from £60 to £150 per 50 minute session

    • Couples therapy sessions: from £80 to £150 per 90 minute session

All fees are confirmed directly with your therapist before your first session. There are no hidden charges.

If cost is a barrier, please mention this when you get in touch. We have a small number of lower-cost spaces available through our affordable access strand, and we will always try to help you find something that works.

  • Get in touch via the contact form or by phone. Tell us a little about what you are looking for, and Gavin will personally review your enquiry and come back to you with a suggestion. We usually respond within 24 hours.

  • No. You can refer yourself directly. You do not need to see your GP first, though your GP may be able to provide useful background if you choose to share it.

  • That depends entirely on you and what you are working on. Some people find significant benefit in six to twelve sessions. Others prefer longer-term work. Your therapist will discuss this with you from the start and review it regularly.

  • Yes. Everything you share with your therapist is confidential. There are limited circumstances in which confidentiality may need to be broken, relating to safety concerns, and your therapist will explain these clearly in your first session.

  • Our focus is on face to face therapy in Haywards Heath. A small number of our therapists offer online sessions as an alternative or supplement. Ask us when you get in touch and we will let you know what is available.

  • Each therapist has their own cancellation policy, which they will share with you before your first session. Late cancellations may be charged.

  • All practitioners at Held hold relevant qualifications and are either registered with a recognised professional body such as BACP or UKCP, or have been carefully vetted by us. You can view each practitioner's credentials on their profile page.
